Joel is a hardworking man of many trades. He runs a kiosk on a busy road in Kampala where he offers bill payment and mobile money services to passers-by by as well as regular customers.
He started this business in 2015. Before that, Joel worked as an electrician. He still does electrical work from time to time as well as working as a Boda-Boda (motorcycle taxi) driver. Liquidity is fundamental to his various businesses. Since being a regular Flow customer (has taken 85 advances since March 2019), he has not had to send away a single customer. He has been able to triple the income he makes from the EzeeMoney payment business. His business has also increased on Sundays and public holidays as he now has the liquidity to service customer demand on those days.
Joel furthermore has a small shop from where he sells wines of all types. When not at either of his shops, Joel drives his Boda-Boda to make extra income. The liquidity he gets from Flow helps him across all the businesses he does. Since Joel started taking float advances his income has increased and he has never had to close his shop due to lack of liquidity.
